"Wry. Confident. Trustworthy."
Originally from Chicago, Adam J. Smith has worked professionally for over 25 years as a multi-award-winning, classically-trained actor, having shared the stage and screen with Oscar, Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe winners and nominees (he himself has a regional Emmy Award!). For over 15 years now, he has also worked as a voice and speech teacher for actors at CalArts (California Institute of the Arts), one of America’s premier arts colleges. He holds an MFA in Acting from top-ranked UC-San Diego/La Jolla Playhouse, and a BA in Economics/Drama from Duke University (Magna Cum Laude).
He brings his versatility of style, love of language, and ability to transform vocally to the world of audiobooks. Building on his diverse set of experiences in education, business, technology, advertising, science, and the arts, he’s able to channel a warm and trustworthy intelligence into his storytelling.
In his spare time, he balances his professional-level wine certifications with a healthy yoga practice. Both of which are needed for him, his wife, their two big dogs, and their infant son.
